ABOUT BETHEL
Bethel Assembly of God has been a place of worship and community in Martinsburg since 1909, when a small group of believers began gathering in the home of James and Mollie Brown. From tent revivals on Virginia Avenue to the building of our first tabernacle in 1915, the church grew through faithful leadership and the work of the Holy Spirit.

Over the decades, Bethel expanded its facilities, established thriving ministries, and became part of the Assemblies of God fellowship in 1926. In 1975, the congregation moved into our current location on Tavern Road, where we continue to see God’s faithfulness at work today.

Our story is one of Passion. People. Purpose. — a passion for God’s presence, a heart for people, and a commitment to live out God’s purpose together. Through every season, our mission has remained the same: to love God, reach people, and build a community where lives are transformed by Jesus Christ.
Pastors Ralph and Jane Campbell
Ralph and Jane Campbell have served the Assemblies of God for over 25 years in both staff and lead pastoral roles. Together, they served as youth and worship pastors to the Edge, a nationally recognized youth ministry serving hundreds of students.

In 2000, they planted a thriving multi-ethnic church in one of the most diverse areas of the U.S.
Since 2010, they have pastored Bethel Assembly Of God, where Jane serves as the Student Pastor and Ralph serves as the Lead Pastor.

We strive to come alongside all people of all ages in their faith walk. We believe that Christ has called His Church to do life together and we hope to facilitate a godly community within our congregation and city.

Bethel is located in Martinsburg, WV. Being the last stop on the commuter train from DC, Martinsburg is a cultural melting pot of people and we love our city dearly.
